I just have to warn anyone that might be considering putting a loved one in this facility. I decided on Village Health Care at the Glen despite it being one of the most costly care facilities in Shreveport because I thought they would provide the best care. My uncle was neglected, they would go for days without giving him a bath. There were a few staff members that were better than others. I found some members of the administrative staff to be stiff and uncaring. The last straw with these guys, I had been paying them out of my own account for his care, which was set up for direct withdrawal. My uncle died on March 9. 2019. A week later they did an automatic withdrawal for the entire month. When I brought it to their attention they said, oh we'll credit that back, but not until the next billing cycle. So I waited a month only to have them send a check to the "estate" of my uncle. I told them, my uncle wasn't paying for this, I was - the check needs to be made out to me. They refused, claimed there was a law. I asked my attorney, he said there wasn't and we could fight it but the legal fees would outweigh the check amount. These guys are dirty, beware.
