My father, who has end stage Parkinson's, was, in effect, kicked out of the Cottages of Lake Balboa. The owner, Justin Levi, raised our rent by about $2,000 month. He lied to us and said that this huge increase is due to increased labor costs. However, every caregiver we have spoken with has said that they are not aware of any salary increases for themselves. This is such a shame as the caregivers here have been exceptional. Unfortunately, this does not supercede the emotional toil that this move is placing upon my very ill and fragile father. I would NOT recommend the Cottages of Lake Balboa if you care about someone.
