This place is the definition of ELDER ABUSE. The only reason we gave San Nicholas 1 star is because we couldn't give them a 0 star review. The care there was the absolute WORST. They only have ONE so-called "caregiver" on staff (for 10 residents), who basically works round the clock and is extremely inattentive. The residents get virtually NO attention or care. After only 2 weeks there, our mother became severely dehydrated and septic, and they tried to tell us that she was dying and to just let her go. Instead, we took her to the hospital and she recovered fully, but only after a 3 week hospital stay. The owner never visits the facility, and the "house manager," who has no medical training, is never around. They supposedly use old, very small baby monitors to "keep an eye" on the residents, but they don't even do that. If you want your loved one to die a horrible, neglected death, take them to San Nicholas.
