Review Summary
The following is an AI generated summary of the reviews of the community from across the web.
The reviews for the care center are mixed, with several concerning reports about the quality of care, facility conditions, and staff behavior. Some reviewers describe the facility as falling apart, with overworked staff and instances of patients not receiving timely medical attention. There are reports of patients being ignored, screaming for help without response, and suffering from dehydration and infections due to neglect. The facility is also criticized for being dirty, with issues like stained curtains, delayed supplies, and lost personal items.
However, there are also positive comments about the care provided by some staff members and the physical, occupational, and speech therapy services. A few reviewers mention significant improvements in their health and mobility thanks to the dedicated therapists. The care and compassion of some caregivers and the quality of physical therapy are highlighted as strengths of the facility.
Concerns are raised about the facility's management and the overall attitude towards patient care, with some suggesting that the management does the least possible for patients. There are also complaints about the facility being understaffed, unclean, and having poor nutrition and food quality. Some reviewers express frustration with the lack of accessibility to doctors and the need for an investigation into the facility's practices.
On a more positive note, some family members report satisfactory experiences, noting that their loved ones received good care and are healing well. They commend the staff for their kindness and dedication, despite acknowledging that the facility itself may not be in the best condition.
Overall, the reviews paint a picture of a facility with significant room for improvement, particularly in terms of staffing, cleanliness, and management practices, but also with instances of commendable care and therapy services.
Reviews
A dump of human waste in Santa Barbara County After being visiting this facility for two months every day I can surely say it is a huge scam in the open. They call themselves skilled nursing facility specialized in rehabilitation but they are a deplorable and inhumane fake where patients are also abused! Insurance companies and doctors should know that this facility is not offering the services they say. Managers are very rude and unprofessional and staff is very laid back. Doctors are not existing. They are phantoms appearing only once in a while in a video call while patients are sleeping and not aware of what is happening. Nobody is checking the progress or non-progress of the patient. Nobody cares. The bedridden patients are abused very early in the morning when no outside people and managers are in the facility. Social workers are elusive and false in order to cover the scam and take their wage at the end of the week. They take the piss not only of patients but also of family members by making them believe that they are taking care of patients. Nothing is true in the reports they write. The head nurse never goes to the rooms to check the patients and adjust the medicines accordingly. She reports to the relative that the patient is doing good when is not. Same for the executive director and social workers. They DO NOT CARE! Nurses in general are very rude. Only 2 or 3 people I met they were very nice and caring. Only few of them are doing their job with compassionate attitude and professionalism. The rest are only false and careless. Laundry is a disaster. Dresses are often lost and never come back to the room. Everywhere is dirty, old and filthy and the facility is running down. When it rains water comes in from all sides including corridors and therapy room. The therapy room is always empty and the present machinery is almost all not working. The food is disgusting. They say loudly they have a nutritionist but diet is the same for everybody no matter if you are diabetic or if you have allergies. The nutritionist is only there to perceive the wage. The therapists are like zombies walking from one room to the other doing the minimum needed to show they are doing their job. Doctors, knowing the poor quality of the facility, should be ashamed to send their patients there. Residents are kept under heavy barbiturates in order to make them sleep or keep the brain numb the majority of the day. For all the doctors who send their patients at this facility remember that everyone will die there. They keep patients barely alive with zero personal care (long nails, poor dresses, long hair…) If you care about your relative, friend or patient do not send them there! They will die. Some serious and competent authority must shut down this purgatory of tortured souls kept in a state of larvae only for dirty profit.
